Ava Sen, Ex-Shinigami
Human: From most people's perspective, he looks like a young kid. However, he has a nice muscular build that would make those that can see him question that. He has dark blonde hair and crimson red eyes. He also wears a red cape made of what appears to be fur, and yellow ragged pants that are approximately the same color as his hair.
Zanpakutou: The color of the belt that holds his Zanpakutou is the same color as his pants, making it look like it was meant to be there. The top of the hilt has a repeating pattern--it's alternating ugly yellow and crimson red diamonds until it gets to the bottom of the hilt. The blade itself is black, and the sheath is a crimson color.
In its Shikai form, it's a crimson-colored macuahuitl with yellow edges and a black handle. (these details can be found in a few of the images in the art section, if you're having trouble understanding/grasping the concept)
Dog: While in his dog form, Ava looks much like a Kelev K'naani (Caanan Dog) or a Korean Jindo. In this form, he's about two feet at the shoulder and about four feet in length. His fur coat is mostly dark blonde, but with a few lighter patches here and there. His eyes are still the same crimson color as in his human form and his nose is black. He wears a crimson collar that looks like the only way to take it on and off is to slip it over his head.

Ava used to be a people-person. He had a few friendly rivals back in the day, as well as a few that just downright hated him, but when you're as skilled as he was, it's only natural. After the incident occurred, however, he's become quite reclusive. He hates the Shinigami, thinking that their way of life is a joke and that all of them are as corrupt as the one that attempted to kill him. He has only one friend now; Keikan. They live together in Hueco Mundo. Despite Ava hating the Shinigami so much, he still makes the occasional trip back to the Soul Society and sneaks around, trying to keep updated with what's going on and who's what and where and why, on the off chance he's confronted by or runs into a Shinigami or group of them.
His preferred choice of combat is melee--he rarely uses his Zanpakutou. It's not that he dislikes it--it's a part of him now, but it brings back memories of being a part of the Gotei 13.
Ava's skill level is superior to that of any Captain, though he is a bite naive sometimes and doesn't think ahead, causing some temporary problems. Prior to living in Hueco Mundo, he had defeated his old Captain, Shunsui Kyouraku, in a friendly duel. He didn't like flaunting it around, though, and still doesn't.
Ava is quite humble--he will take things lightly, and when he's done something very well, he'll say that he could have done better or it wasn't very good or he really didn't do anything. Keikan is on a much lower power level than Ava, but Ava has been doing his best to increase his abilities. He would give his life to protect Keikan--he's died once already, lost any hopes or dreams he had, so the only thing he considers worth living for is Keikan, since they're both outcasts and don't have any other reasons to live or fight for.
If Ava were to happen to make another friend, he could be considered slightly childish at times past his serious demeanor. He and Keikan crack jokes all the time and are constantly arguing friendly about what should have happened or what did happen. Ava and Keikan are slightly like Pesche and Dondochakka from Bleach.
